JEANNE REAVIS has been interested in art all her life. Before she finished a demanding 35 year career in retailing, she picked up her pencils during a Colorado vacation, and was hooked.  She loves painting from life -  from the flowers and gardens she loves, to the people, places and dogs that have captured her heart. She started painting en plein air several summers ago, a fabulous challenge in the ultimate studio. Jeanne hopes to capture the the feeling of the scene - what talked to her- and share it with the viewer.  Every painting is full of discoveries.

She continues to attend workshops across the country with artists who have influenced her, including Quong Ho, Robert Johnson, Kevin Macpherson, Leslie Rich, and Matt Smith. Jeanne really enjoys painting with her friends, sharing these experiences and just getting out into her own gorgeous garden. Painting is hard work and comes with many blessings!

She has participated in numerous juried shows and  has paintings in private collections in Texas as well as across the U.S.  She primarily paints in her studio in Houston and takes every opportunity she can to paint outside - whether it be in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and points yet to be discovered! There is just sooooo much to see...and learn!  The journey has just begun.
